“If anything disturbs your peace, practice having faith that divine grace is already actively at work restoring wholeness and well-being.

Then make any necessary adjustments in harmony with that insight.”

The Essential Wholeness Within
Paula Whang-Ramos

"The shepherds of the Christmas story personify intuitive feeling and the quality of humility that allows us to be receptive to divine guidance…
We will find the divine guidance we need in the realm of our own Self, our conscious awareness.”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian,
Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, P. 26

Before coming to this path of Kriya Yoga, I had a very literal understanding of the Christmas story. I was inspired by the story of the birth of a wise one over 2000 years ago, despite incredible obstacles against his arrival. But this story took place in a land, a culture, and a spiritual tradition with which I have no personal connection. And my ability to recite the details of this beautiful story did little to awaken me spiritually or to nourish my soul.

In this tradition of Kriya Yoga, we honor the wisdom teachings from all enlightened traditions, as we experience spiritual stories metaphysically, not literally. This allows us to open into the story's deeper universal significance where our hearts can experience the divine power, presence, and wisdom that is the Source of all enlightened stories. Metaphysical study reveals how each detail is a potential reflection of Divine Wholeness expressing, inspiring, and healing us all – from the inside out - regardless of our religious or cultural background. From this deeper metaphysical understanding, the shepherds, the sheep, the manger, the baby Jesus, and even the unkind King Herod can reveal a much more intimate, spiritually empowering meaning for our own path of awakening. And a story of long ago from a place we may never visit becomes a beautiful inner path into the divine remembrance of the essential Wholeness within us all.

Join us at BLC this Saturday and experience the entire Christmas story from a metaphysical perspective, based on Yogacharya O’Brian’s book Path Of Wonder: A Meditator’s Guide to Advent. Meditate and open into the inner guidance to live in our heart's joy and our soul's peace during this Holy Season. Seekers from all backgrounds are welcome.

Join us at Blue Lotus Center onsite (Wednesday evenings only) and online (Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Experience a time of meditation, study, contemplation, and divine remembrance with others devoted to realizing and thriving in our innate peace, love, and wisdom. Contribute to the realization of peace in our minds, our hearts, our families, our community, and our world. Blue Lotus Meditation & Yoga Center welcomes sincere seekers from all backgrounds. Beginning and experienced participants from all traditions are welcome at all gatherings.

Meditate To Return And Remember
Paula Whang-Ramos

"Make room for the revelation of divine presence in your mind and your life by meditating.”
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Path of Wonder: A Meditator's Guide to Advent, P. 31

A daily meditation practice has many evidence-based benefits to enhance our quality of life. Meditation can calm distracted minds, increase mental clarity, and facilitate a relaxation response in a stressed body. In this tradition of Kriya Yoga, we practice Superconscious meditation. And, while a calm, clear mind and relaxed body are wonderful effects of meditation, they are not the intention of superconscious meditation.

In superconscious meditation, our intention is to go beyond the labels and experiences of the mind/body into the Source of energy that enlivens the mind/body. We learn and practice time-tested meditation techniques to quiet the busy, distracted mind. When the mind is quiet, we can directly experience the eternal divine presence, power, and wisdom that already resides within us all. So, in this tradition, we do not meditate to become more spiritual, peaceful, wise, or even enlightened, because, at our core, we already are these qualities. We superconsciously meditate to return, remember, and live from the peace, love, and wisdom of our true spiritual essence as the enlightened beings we already are. Join us at CSE and BLC and experience the effects of superconscious meditation for yourself. We will save a seat for you!

The Holy One In All
Paula Whang-Ramos

"Through faith, we train the mind to perceive God in all.
Look beyond external differences and behold the One.”

~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, CSE Daily Inspiration 11/11/2023

I love the energy this time of year, as we enter into this holy season honored by spiritual traditions from the East and the West. For example, 10/31-11/01 Samhain in the Celtic tradition, 11/12 Diwali in the Hindu tradition, 12/08 Bodhi Day in the Buddhist tradition, 12/26/23-01/01/24 Kwanzaa in the African American tradition, 12/07-14 Hanukkah in the Jewish tradition, 12/21 Winter Solstice in the Wiccan tradition, and 12/25 Christmas in the Christian and Catholic traditions – all honor the journey into freedom from darkness into the light of Truth. To me, the divinely timed overlap of these diverse traditions is a clear demonstration of the divine Presence of the One, expressing Itself through all these paths.

Whatever your holy day rituals, I invite you to join us at Blue Lotus Center as we listen and surrender into the peace, love, and hope of the One that enlivens all wisdom traditions. This December, BLC will offer a month-long program for meditators from all backgrounds to experience the blessed energy of this Holy season through the metaphysical experience of Advent. Yogacharya O’Brian’s book Path Of Wonder: A Meditator’s Guide to Advent will inspire our inner journey into the Christ Consciousness that indwells us all. If you would like to be restored in the soul's wholeness during these holy days instead of being mentally stressed during the holidays, then save the dates below, purchase your copy of Yogacharya’s book, and join us for an incredible inner journey in December.

Celebrate With Blue Lotus Center!
Paula Whang-Ramos

"Peace in our homes, community, and world begins with a vision of it, faith in it, and the commitment to realize it by working for it.
Bring forth the light of peace by first experiencing it directly in meditation, and then transmit that divine peace to others."

~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, CSE Daily Inspiration 4/19/2015
