One Conscious Breath
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Sweep away negative or self-defeating thoughts with a conscious out-breath. Welcome happiness back into your
heart and mind with a conscious in-breath." ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 75
In our daily meditation practice, we can experience the power of one conscious breath to clear and calm the mind. By focusing on the breath, we can learn to replace negative thoughts and emotions with those that are even-minded and more joy-filled. With our skillful focus on the breath, we can train the mind/body to intentionally respond with calmness and equanimity when life’s challenges arise.
Additionally, when the mind becomes calm, we can experience our true nature as peace-filled, wisdom-guided, loving spiritual beings. When circumstances cause us to forget the truth of our divine nature, a conscious breath can help us remember and live in the power, joy, and peace of the soul. Try it now. Close your eyes. Let the next out-breath sweep away all thoughts of negativity, limitation, or imperfection. Then, on the next in-breath, feel the inner joy of your soul overflow into your heart and mind. Now, sit in the serenity of one conscious breath.

A Bold, Beautiful Life
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Live boldly in the world as a spiritual being. Rely on the infinite resourcefulness of Divine Consciousness."
~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 51
As spiritual beings, we are unlimited divine possibility. We “live boldly” when we embrace the promise of our unlimited life wholeheartedly and with focused intent. When we act from wisdom-guided courage in the face of fear and doubt, we are living boldly. We display boldness when our thoughts, words, and actions arise from our soul qualities of love, peace, compassion, and kindness instead of negativity or old stories. We take the risk to be more – more vulnerable, authentic, caring, and forgiving - when our ego would rather play it safe.
As emanations of Divine Consciousness, our souls flow in the stream of divine grace, potential, and purpose. Even during times of challenging life circumstances, we can courageously act in the integrity of the true Self. With our commitment to live boldly, we accept the divine invitation to live and thrive in the peace, love, wholeness, and joy of the eternal soul. How will we live boldly today?

Our Divine Wholeness
Paula Whang-Ramos
"At the core of our being, we are already divine. We are perfect, whole, and complete. Our practice merely clears away any obstructions
to perceiving the truth of what we are." ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 50
It is important to remember our divine wholeness amidst ever-changing life circumstances. And, when we do forget, we can find courage knowing that our forgetfulness does not diminish our wholeness as spiritual beings. Soul wisdom always remembers what the mind can forget.
Kriya Yoga offers many spiritual practices for us remember, return, and live in the integrity of our essential wholeness. Superconscious meditation is the foundation of our divine remembrance, as it quiets the wrong-thinking mind so our soul wholeness can be directly experienced by us. Learning to live as a disciple to the soul's joy; studying ancient, time-tested Truth teachings; and repeatedly surrendering the illusion that we are less than whole are additional foundational practices. These practices can inspire daily life choices that support our highest good.
Join us at CSE and BLC as we practice these life-changing teachings. Experience for your Self the peace, joy, and grace that naturally arise when we live from within. We will save a seat for you!

Meet Your True Self
Paula Whang-Ramos
"Meditation is a radical form of Self-acceptance; it arranges our meeting with the true Self - the most important meeting we can have.
Do not miss it." ~Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, Living For The Sake Of The Soul, p. 59
While meditation is a foundational practice in this tradition of Kriya Yoga, the purpose of meditation is not to meditate. Nor is it to make us more whole, peaceful, wise, happy, or spiritual. We meditate so we can directly experience these qualities that already exist within us, as our true Self.
On a practical level, the purpose of meditation is to quiet the distracted mind that wrongly defines who we are based on its limitations, fears, stories, and emotions. With steadfast daily meditation practice, we learn to open beyond this small self into the deeper, unchanging integrity of the true Self. Meditation can help us inwardly access, live from, and consciously return to the true Self that is already blessed by the power, wholeness, and wisdom of the Source from which it emanates.
Even during moments that scare the small self, the true Self remains spiritually grounded in the greater divine grace that still flows through us as peace, wisdom, courage, and love. Join us in meditation. Meet your true Self and experience the freedom beyond the tyranny of the mind.
