Are You Ready To Meet Your Powerful Precious Self?

Paula Whang-Ramos

"We have an inner doorway into the infinite soul-mine of precious, prospering gems of radiant aliveness, wisdom, and fulfillment.
All we need to is enter...step into the life that is ours, the soul life that has been waiting for us."

~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O’Brian, The Jewel of Abundance

As we prepare to welcome a new year, ask yourself: "Am I ready to live from the inner wisdom that informs and inspires my highest good and deepest joy? Am I ready to live from a radiant aliveness that is not compromised or weakened by life circumstances? In 2019, will I open myself into the fulfilling life that I took birth for?"

If you answered "Yes!" to any of these questions, then I encourage you to gift yourself a copy of Yogacharya O'Brian's new book The Jewel Of Abundance. Yogacharya offers practical gems of ancient Yogic wisdom and heart-opening hope to help transform mentally/emotionally reactionary lives into lives consciously rooted in the divine abundance that is always conspiring to support our highest good and deepest joy. This book has something to offer newcomers to yoga and meditation, as well as experienced yogis/yoginis from all traditions. Let's begin 2019 with an experienced spiritual teacher to guide us on the path of living from our inner fabulousness!

Calm and Bright Holy Nights

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Silent night. Holy night. All is calm. All is bright. "
~ Franz Xaver Gruber (1787-1863)

Yoga is the return to our essential wholeness in the Source of Wholeness that indwells us all. During this time of year, the Source is experienced and honored in Indigenous, African, Jewish, Buddhist and Christian traditions around the world. And individuals from all and no faith traditions celebrate and experience this indwelling holy Wholeness as well.

During our holiday preparations, let's open into the eternal Presence within these faith traditions. Let the longer nights be a calling to sit in the inner stillness of meditation. Take a quiet moment and wonder into the night sky and Its mystery that reminds us of the power and presence of the One. Let that Source that lights up the night sky also light the inner light of peace within us all.

Join us at CSE this morning for the 10:00 am Winter Solstice service, and on Dec. 24th for the 6:00 pm Christmas Eve family service. Join us at BLC this Wednesday for our regularly scheduled meditation group. Experience a time of meditation and spiritual contemplation. Study, meditate, and grow with others devoted to thriving in peace, love and wisdom. Contribute to the realization of peace in our minds, our hearts, our families, our community and our world. Individuals from all and no traditions are welcome at all gatherings. All are welcome.

On behalf of the BLC Board of Directors, we wish all beings the peace, hope and Wholeness of this holy season. Blue Lotus Meditation & Yoga Center welcomes sincere seekers from all backgrounds.

Yogananda's Holiday Offering

Paula Whang-Ramos

"The litmus test of effective meditation is not ecstatic states or inner visions, but the enduring transformation of character."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian

Meditation for the Holy Days is a special gift from Paramahansa Yogananda to us. He offered this extended time in meditation as a remedy for the hustle and bustle of holiday stress. As the holiday energy and activity builds, so does our outward flowing energy, in the form of more talking, more shopping, more traffic, more crowds, more cooking, more eating...more, more, more! It can be too easy to get wrapped up in the increased desire for more and lose sight of our inner peace.

Join us for part or all of the evening this Wednesday at BLC for a time of meditation and inspiration in spiritual community, as we offer extended opportunities to return, rest and be restored in our inner peace and wholeness. Take time to consciously STOP the increased outward flow of energy and gift your Self time in the silence of your soul. Open into the love, peace and gratitude that overflows during this holy time of year.

Join us at BLC.

Space of Possibility

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Between the present need and where we stand is a space of possibility for life's prospering power to come forth. We are that space of possibility."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian
(from The Jewel of Abundance)

Five years ago, the Blue Lotus Center was a vision of possibility, not yet manifested as we know it today. Last month, BLC celebrated 4 years of service as an oasis of peace in our south county communities. During that time, BLC has served more than 5,918 meditators and offered more than 744 meditation groups, spiritual living yoga classes, individual spiritual counseling and other special services. We are blessed to have a beautiful, sweet center in which sincere seekers from all and no faith traditions can gather in the peace and unity that we all share and that we all are. Over the years, we have learned, meditated, studied and grown together in the Oneness that is Yoga. And, in divine grace and your generous hearts, BLC has operated entirely on 100% donations from the community. Thank you.

People often say that they come to BLC because of the peace they feel from meditating at the Center. But the truth is that BLC is an outer manifestation of our community's inner readiness for peace to be realized in our own hearts and lives. Everyone who comes to BLC and everyone who supports BLC on any level is part of the realization of peace that is so needed now. Thank you.

As we come to the end of another incredible year, listen within your hearts and inwardly inquire if you are called to offer a year-end tax-deductible donation to BLC so we may continue to actively stand for peace in our community and freely offer these teachings and services to all. If you value peace and want it to thrive in our communities, then contribute your energy - through your daily meditation practice, your conscious living in Oneness, and your contribution to this oasis of peace for all. Thank you.

Holy Opportunities Beneath Holiday Stress

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Greeting obstacles as opportunities helps us hone our skills of introspection, deep listening, and opening into possibility."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian
(from The Jewel of Abundance)

The holiday season is an interesting time of year. The ancient energy honored in many spiritual traditions is mixed with the contemporary materialism symbolizing those ancient holy days. Sometimes we can get so involved with the increased holiday frenzy, that we lose sight of the spiritual reason beneath it. When holiday stress arises, we can choose to stop and take a moment to inwardly return to the peace, love and joy of ancient holy days.

Longer lines at the stores can serve as our invitation to stop and take a few calming breaths into inner peace. Shopping for gifts can serve as a reminder to be grateful and generous for all that we have to share. As we decorate our homes, we can reflect on the holy meaning of this ritual. And, our exposure to increased crowds and public gatherings can serve as a reminder of the Oneness that calls and unites us together.

Join us at CSE and BLC this month, as we offer opportunities to return, rest and remember the holy opportunities that await us beneath perceived holiday frenzy. Individuals from all and no traditions are welcome at all gatherings. Join us for a time of meditation and spiritual contemplation. Study, meditate, and grow with others devoted to thriving in peace, love and wisdom. Make this the holy day season that we skillfully live in peace - in our minds, our hearts, our families, our community and our world. All are welcome.
