Finding Grace Through Life Challenges

Paula Whang-Ramos

"Sometimes life can break your heart - no one escapes its sorrow...
Even in times of great darkness, grace is at work in a surrendered heart...
When the surrendered heart is broken open, the underground stream of divine love rises to the surface and washes everything clean."
~ Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian

The unconditional power and presence of divine grace is ever-present within and around us. Grace is not earned and it cannot be taken from us. It is the commitment of the Source of Life to constantly express and support Itself. And yet, grace can seem obscured amidst challenges in our daily lives.

Join us at CSE this morning as we explore how our daily spiritual practice can deepen our remembrance of grace in our daily lives. As we enter into the holy season when wisdom traditions around the world honor the One in all, peace, love and unity are the calling cards of grace. Even in the face of the challenges we've experienced this year, or perhaps because of them, we all deserve time to be restored in this divine Wholeness. Gift your Self a time of rest and rejuvenation in the peace, love and unity that indwell us all.

Return to peace. Join us at Blue Lotus Center. Return, rest and live in the divine peace, love and wisdom that indwells you. Learn and experience universal spiritual Self-care practices to return to peace now. Affirm the inner call to cultivate peace in our minds, hearts, families, community and our world.
The Blue Lotus Meditation & Yoga Center welcomes sincere seekers from all backgrounds. Beginning and experienced participants from all traditions are welcome at all gatherings.

Authentic Thanksgiving

Paula Whang-Ramos

"It is not enough just to think success or think ideas; they must be demonstrated...

To think greatness is the first step, but then you must empower the ideas with will and set it in motion."

~ Paramahansa Yogananda

As we enter the Thanksgiving season, it may be with mixed emotion. On one hand, we have so much for which to be thankful every day. And, it has also been a tremendous year of challenge and loss for so many. How can we genuinely enter into a time of gratitude amidst a year of so much loss? I think Yogananda would ask us How can we not, especially now, shine our lights of awareness on that for which we are authentically grateful? When was compassion, communion and genuine care for what remains ever more important?

This Thanksgiving, let's do more than hope for healing and peace in our communities. Let's ground our own thoughts words and actions in peace and gratitude, remembering that even a moment of conscious peace and authentic gratitude can allow a powerful breath of Life to offer a blessing of hope into any situation.

This Tuesday during Sharing Peace, we will gather as a spiritual community to meditate and to consciously enter into this season of gratitude. In the supportive energy of our fellow meditators, we will compassionately acknowledge our losses and our blessings in the Wholeness where authentic gratitude resides. Stay for Prayer Circle for Peace when we consciously offer the peace and gratitude cultivated in Sharing Peace with all beings everywhere.

Join Us Today For Gilroy Yogafest!

Paula Whang-Ramos

"You have the privilege and choice to make your own heaven right here;
you have all the means to do so...Learn to live in that eternal happiness and peace which is Oneness/God."

~ Paramahansa Yogananda

Yoga is the return to the One Divine Presence that enlivens all life as we know it. Although it is called by different names in different cultures, it remains the One Source of them all. Beneath apparent external differences between us, is this Divine Presence that yearns to have Its peace, love and wholeness expressed through us, as us. When we live a meditative and yogic lifestyle, we can access this Wholeness from within us and let Its peace, love, and wholeness flow through our lives in deeply fulfilling ways.

Experience many different expressions of Yoga today at the 3rd Annual YogaFEST held in our own Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy. Bring your family and friends for a kid-friendly day of uplifting activities, music and classes for all. This year's festival theme is "One World Family" to consciously promote unity among people from diverse backgrounds. Proceeds from this event will be donated to support fire victims in the North Bay. Join us for an enjoyable day and support the One in all.

Visit the Blue Lotus Center booth and receive your gift of peace. Attend the free meditation workshop I will be offering at 12:15. Be restored in the energy of the largest Gilroy gathering of Yoga practitioners and teachers. Share this event as a fun blessing with your loved ones. I look forward to seeing you at YogaFEST today and at Blue Lotus Center this week.

Join Us For Blue Lotus Center's 3rd Birthday!

Paula Whang-Ramos

"There should be centers of meditation all over the world, where devotees come together to commune with the Divine...

Such temples should be built everywhere.  I predict that this will come about."

~ Paramahansa Yogananda

Paramahansa Yogananda was one of the first Yogis to offer Yoga and meditation in the USA. Since he made this prediction over 70 years ago, meditation centers and groups all over the world have been established by Yogananda's students. For example, Mr. Roy Eugene Davis, a direct disciple of Yogananda, helped to realize his teacher's vision with the establishment of the Center for Spiritual Awareness in the rural mountains of North Georgia. Yogacharya Ellen Grace O'Brian, a student of Mr. Davis, realized the vision with the establishment of the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment in San Jose, California. And 70 years after Paramahansa Yogananda made this prediction, Yogacharya O'Brian blessed into being the Blue Lotus Meditation and Yoga Center in Gilroy, California.

For the past 3 years, the Blue Lotus Center has served as the oasis of peace for all who yearn to live in the peace, love and wholeness that is so needed now. In the teaching lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Blue Lotus Center offers ancient teachings in meditation, classical yoga and spiritually conscious living for individuals from all backgrounds.

Join us this Wednesday for an evening of meditation and celebration in spiritual community as we honor BLC's 3 years of service to the One in all. Participate in a gratitude blessing, receive a gift of peace, and learn how you can support the BLC in the return to peace for us all.
